Job Description:
As a Software Developer Engineer at Zappy, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom software solutions to address our unique business needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including factory partners, to troubleshoot issues, build innovative tools, and enhance our current systems to deliver exceptional client experiences. Reporting directly to the CTO or VP of Technology, this role is pivotal in driving technical advancements for Zappy’s growing network.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and maintain custom software to support individual client requirements.
  • Track and manage machine maintenance, including software versioning.
  • Review tickets and perform internal diagnostics to resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with factory partners to evaluate bugs and propose recommended feature enhancements.
  • Build standard and ad-hoc reports, ensuring stakeholders have access to actionable insights.
  • Design and implement user-friendly interfaces for seamless access to reporting data.
  • Support the development of an inventory management tool and enhancements to the existing CRM system.
  • Contribute to the overall development and implementation of full-stack technology solutions that align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, engineering, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar) and database tooling (e.g. SQL).
  • Strong understanding of web development frameworks (e.g. React), database management systems (e.g. Postgres), and cloud-based solutions and tooling (e.g. AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
  • Experience designing and building user interfaces and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate (skills with git and GitHub) with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Requirements:

  • This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel required to client venues. Priority will be given to candidates based in or near Miami, FL.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
